Sun Pharma
Care Simplified, Connection Amplified!
A Global Pharma Leader Whose Website Was Holding It Back
Sun Pharma is one of the top four generic pharmaceutical companies in the world, delivering affordable medicines to patients across more than 100 countries. That kind of global reach demands a digital presence that performs reliably for an enormously diverse audience, from healthcare professionals in major markets to patients in regions with slower internet infrastructure.
The existing website was not meeting that standard. Loading times were slow. Visibility in search was poor. Navigation confused visitors who needed to find specific information quickly, whether that was a healthcare professional looking for prescribing information or a patient trying to understand a medication.
Accessibility, Not Just Aesthetics
A slow, confusing website is a frustration for any business. For a pharmaceutical company serving patients and healthcare professionals across more than 100 countries with vastly different internet infrastructure and digital literacy levels, it is a genuine access barrier. Someone in a market with slower connectivity trying to access important medication information deserves a website that loads reliably and quickly, not one optimised only for fast urban connections.
A more accessible website, not simply a more attractive one, was the actual goal shaping the entire approach to the revamp.
How we
solved it.
The website revamp prioritised loading speed as a primary technical objective rather than a secondary consideration. Every design and development decision was evaluated partly through the lens of how it would affect performance across varied connection speeds and device types.
Navigation was restructured around how the two primary audiences, healthcare professionals and patients, actually search for information. Each group has different needs and different starting points, and the new information architecture was built to serve both without forcing either to wade through irrelevant content to find what mattered to them.
The content itself was reorganised to be more digestible. Complex pharmaceutical and regulatory information was presented in a structure that prioritised clarity, while maintaining the accuracy and completeness that pharmaceutical communication requires.
Ongoing website maintenance was built into the engagement, ensuring the performance and accessibility improvements were sustained over time rather than degrading gradually after the initial launch.
The work,
in view.
The Sun Pharma
outcome.
The new Sun Pharma website now genuinely reflects the company's stated commitment to accessible healthcare worldwide. User experience improved significantly. Engagement increased. Finding the information they need quickly, exactly what a website serving a global healthcare audience should deliver, is now possible for healthcare professionals and patients across Sun Pharma's many markets, the same accessibility bar Jubilant Biosys had to clear for its multi audience CRO site and Glenmark had to clear across its many therapeutic content tracks.
